1. Resume Building Workshop (March 2020)

Resume building Workshop organized by Udyami where the company Resumod was invited to take a session on the basic steps on how to present a resume in a better way. The students learned the importance of building their own resume. A resume is an important tool for job search because it offers a page or two where one can display their top skills and qualities. It helps employers in making hiring decisions as it is a reflection of the candidate’s skills and experience. That's why the structure of the resume matters and what information one decides to include in the resume. It is an essential part in the process of getting a job. Hence Resume Building workshop was organized by Udyami where the company Resumod was invited to take a session on the basic steps on how to present a resume in a better way. The students learned the importance of building their own resume.

2. Developing Entrepreneurship Skills (October 2019)

Udyami organized a workshop on Developing Entrepreneurship Skills for all the students from courses B.Com(H), BBA, BCA and BA.LLB. The importance of knowing and developing the skills was discussed in the session. It revolved around the idea that an Entrepreneur needs to have an innovative mind and a good skill set.

3.Recruitments for Udyami the E-Cell (September 2019)

The existing members of the E-Cell conduct recruitments for the fresher students in the college and welcome them to join the Entrepreneurship Society of TIPS. The group discussion takes place and after that the members choose the students for the personal interview. Students who are willing to put effort, learn and work in the society are selected. Firstly, the social media platforms are updated with the notice of the “recruitments open soon” for the Entrepreneurship Cell and announcements are done for the freshers. A few days later application process is started where the details of interested students are noted on the registration table. Finally upon the decided date the members of E-Cell conduct group discussions among the registered students followed by an interview. Students who are willing to put effort, learn and work in the society are selected.

4.Internship fair (March 2019)

The Internship Fair organized by Udyami is one of the biggest events in TIPS where students participate in give group discussions, presentations and interviews to the companies invited in the fair. Students get an opportunity to learn speaking skills and they get to understand how companies select candidates for internships. It builds confidence among the students. Internship fairs provide candidates with an opportunity to meet employers from a variety of industries and receive first-hand information about the organization and available positions. It helps students in learning about the opportunities within each industry to help narrow the scope in job searches. Students confess that taking part results in increased confidence in their ability to interact with employers and communicate their accomplishments. Also, they gain the opportunity to give interviews and even get recruited.

Hence overall, a major advantage of an internship is that students are able to network and establish relationships with working professionals in their field. Fostering those professional connections can be useful for anything from career advice to a job recommendation.

Udyami organises Internship fair once every year. A month prior to the Internship Fair, members of the E-Cell start approaching the companies looking for interns. Calling is preferred for approaching companies after which a list of companies interested in attending the fair are sent mails regarding the details of the same. Meanwhile the social media platforms of Udyami start promotions of the fair among the students. Posters and banners are also made in order to make students aware about the internship fair.
