Report on Excursion cum Study Tour to Kullu-Manali and Rohtang Pass – 2019 Day 1-Hidimba Devi Temple Day 2-Rohtang Pass Day 3-Visit to Vashisth Temple and Club House Day 4-Visit to Shawl Industries Trinity Institute of Professional Studies organized excursion-cum study tour to Kullu-Manali and Rohtang Pass. TIPS, organises an excursion cum study trip every year in the month of October. The destination was finalised with the mutual consent of the students. Moreover, an initiative was taken by the institute, where, students had to get a declaration signed by their respective parents, so as to ensure that the parents were duly informed about the locations of the trip. In total 160 students and 16 faculty members visited Manali in the 4 buses assigned by the institute. Each faculty was allocated around 11 students under them, so as to ensure their presence and safety during the tour. It was an adventurous tour of 6 days and 5 nights from 19th October, 2019 to 24 October, 2019. The trip started from the college on 19th October, 2019 in the afternoon. After the journey of 19 hours, 160 students along with 16 faculties reached the Maple Retreat Hotel in Manali on the morning of 20th October, 2019. Later, after check-in in the hotel, hotel rooms were allotted, followed by breakfast, afterwards, some-time to rest was also dispensed and later, in the afternoon, lunch was served. On the same day, in the evening students were taken to Hadimba Temple. Each faculty briefed their respective students, the relevance of Hadimba Temple that it was constructed in 16th century and the goddess Hadima was the wife of one of the strongest Pandava brothers, Bheem. As per Hindu Mythology, the goddess Hadimba meditated in this region (located amid at the beautiful deodar forest on the top of a hill in Manali) as an apology for the sins she has committed. Eventually, she was given the position of goddess by the most powerful goddess Durga, whose 10 centimetre footprint is preserved at the entrance of the temple. Later, which the group returned to hotel and in the night and around 10 o’clock dinner was served. On the third day, in the early morning of 21st October, 2019 the group left for Rohtang Pass which is the highest mountain pass at the elevation of 13,054 feet above the sea level, located on the Eastern Pir Panjal Range of Himalyas and during the journey packed breakfast was served to all. TIPS had duly arranged the permits prior, for the entry at Rohtang Pass of all the students and faculty members. Around 9 the students along with 1 faculty member left for the Rohtang Pass in their respective, assigned cars. Before, reaching Rohtang snow suits, gloves and gum-boots were distributed to all the students and faculty members, so as to ensure that they don’t fell ill, due to 3 degree temperature. Later, after reaching the destination students along with their respective faculty members trekked at the mountains which were covered with snow. The group reached back to the hotel at 3:00 pm, where lunch was served and afterwards, students were allowed to go for shopping at Mall Road, market area of Manali. Furthermore, around 7:00 pm all teachers and students collectively sat together for Bonne Fire in the lawn of the hotel, which was followed by DJ night. Later, in the night around 10 o’clock dinner was served. On the morning of 22nd October, 2019 after having breakfast at 10 o’clock, all the students along with respective faculty members left for Vashisht temple located in Old Manali which about 6 kilometres away from Manali. Vashisht temple which exists today is believed to be more than 4000 years old. Before entering the temple, faculty members briefed the students about the relevance of the temple that it is named after Rishsi Vashisht who was one of the seven sages of Hindu. Rishi Vashisht was saddened after learning that his children were killed by Vishwamitra and therefore, Vashisht tried to commit suicide in the Beas River. But the river refused to kill him. He then began meditating there and vowed to start his life anew. Later, faculty members and students went to Club House for some adventure activities such as river crossing, Burma Bridge. TIPS had made the payment prior for all the activities to be done by students and all the faculty members. After the encounter with these eventful activities everyone headed back to hotel to have lunch. Later, in the evening everyone was again allowed to go for sight-seeing and shopping. Later, around 8:00 pm all teachers and students collectively sat together for Bonne Fire which was followed by dinner in the night. On the fifth day, that is on 23rd October, 2019 after breakfast all the faculty and students checked out from the hotel and placed their luggage in their respective buses. Later, all faculty members and the students were allowed to go for sight-seeing in Manali. All the faculty members individually called their respective allotted students to get back to the hotel by 1:00 pm. After the lunch, all the faculty members and students left for Aar Kay Shawl Factory at Kullu, to gain first-hand experience from making of a product, to promotion strategies and its distribution. The group saw the making of traditional Himachal’s hand-woven shawls on ancient wooden machines, how these shawls are distributed pan Himachal and in the other states for sale. Finally, at 4:00 pm all the students and faculty members left for Delhi. The trip ended with a delightful experience and the group arrived Delhi (at Trinity Institute of Professional Studies) on 24th October, 2019. |

Trinity Institute of Professional Studies, (TIPS), Dwarka functioning under the aegis of KEWS, affiliated to GGSIPU, Delhi inaugurated Trinity School of Law & Legal Studies amidst the gracious presence of esteemed academicians and experts from the field of law. The event began with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. To seek divine blessings for inaugurating the Trinity School of Law & Legal Studies block, students performed Ganesh Stuti, which filled the air with spirituality. The Chief Guest of the event was Justice Swatanter Kumar (Retd.) Former Judge, SupremeCourt of India, Former Chairman, National Green Tribunal. The distinguished guest of the occasion was Dr. Vijay Kumar Dahiya, Special Judge, CBI, (PC Act), Dwarka. The guests were felicitated with mementoes, planters and shawls.This was followed by the inauguration of School of Law and Legal Studies Block by unveiling the inaugural board by esteemed guests in the presence of Dr. R.K. Tandon, Chairman, TIPS; Ms. Reema Tandon, Vice Chairperson, TIPS; Prof.H.P Garg, Director General, TIPS; Dr.Vikas Rao Vadi, Director, TIPS and Dr.Parsanjit, Director, Trinity School of Law & Legal Studies. Thereafter, Dr. R.K. Tandon, Chairman, TIPS addressed the august gathering and welcomed them to the event. It was followed by a cultural performance by the students of TIPS which mesmerised everyone.Chief Guest, Justice Swatanter Kumar (Retd.) Former Judge, Supreme Court of India, Former Chairman, National Green Tribunal enlightened one and all with his words of wisdom. He shared his experiences as a student of law, lawyer, judge and Chairperson of NGT. He also motivated students of legal studies. Apart from this, he shared the 3H formula of life i.e. Be Humble, Be Humane and Be Healthy.The event was concluded by the Vote of Thanks by Prof.H.P Garg, Director General, TIPS, Dwarka. He thanked and appreciated the committees for the successful execution of the ceremony. The guests then proceeded for high tea.
