“Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.” – Sun Tzu
Dabeet is the English Debating Society of Trinity Institute of Professional Studies. It was established exclusively under the department of law in 2019. Dabeet is a mythological word which means “a warrior”. Dabeet organises Annual Parliamentary Debates and various quiz and debate competitions in college throughout the year. It witnesses participation from all the departments of the institution. Each debate sees participants deliver thought-provoking speeches and try their hand at winning the cash prizes. It offers members with a platform to come together and understand the world, by engaging with diverse perspectives on various social issues. Members of the society participate in various national level parliamentary debating tournaments held across the country and also win laurels at the same. Dabeet trains the students over a huge spectrum of topics which include politics, education, feminism, the prison system, international relations etc. We also work on enhancing their personality and develop soft skills.
Dabeet successfully organised a departmental quiz competition on Constitution of India.
The debating society organised a training session on the Rules of Procedure of MUN in collaboration with UNNATI.
In addition to that, Dabeet is coming up with its premier edition of Model United Nations later in 2020*. It will be a two-day simulation of the United Nations with four UN and one Indian committee. They are as follows:
